Synopsis

THE DOOMSDAY EXPRESS! Batman continues his fight against the Black Spider at the Gotham Airport, but Black Spider gets the upper hand in the fight and claims another victim, leaving Batman frustrated.  Batman returns to the Wayne Foundation Penthouse and decides to make a background research on this new vigilante. With help from a woman called Maria, Batman learns that Black Spider was once a drug addict, but his addiction forced him to kill his own father. Ever since that tragic day, and after spending years in prison, the man decided to fight drug lords by any means necessary.   Afterwards, Batman and Commissioner Gordon learn of a possible target for the Black Spider and the Dark Knight tries to stop him from blowing up an elevated train containing one drug dealer and a mass of innocent people. Batman manages to save the train, but Black Spider apparently dies during the fall as the bomb explodes in his hands.   After this encounter with such a ruthless vigilante, Batman starts considering where does he stand between the law and the criminals. A HOT TIME IN STAR CITY TONIGHT! The Black Canary encounters the Calculator, who has created a condition in which every time the Canary uses her sonic cry, the temperature in the city will escalate to a frightening degree.
